Ethics and professionalism CPD for health practitioners in Australia [email protected]

Programs

Ethics & professionalism programs for Australian health practitioners

A program brings related courses together in a sensible order, so you can deal with one situation properly instead of choosing piece by piece. Start from what has actually happened, compare the options, and add the core courses written for your own profession.

  • Every program priced at the total of its courses
  • Applies to all 16 registered professions
  • Certificate of completion for each course

Choosing well

Four steps to the right program

  1. Name the concern

Write one sentence about what was raised or what you want to improve.

  2. Match it

Use the table at the top of this page.

  3. Add your profession

Add the two core courses for your profession from its page.

  4. Plan the reflection

Decide how you will show what changed after each course.

Profession courses

Why add your profession's core courses

The programs are built from shared courses that apply to every registered profession. Each profession also has two core courses, one on ethics and one on professionalism, written around its own Board's code and standards. Adding them to a program connects your learning to the document a decision-maker will actually read your conduct against.

Being honest about education

A program is not a guarantee

No program decides the outcome of a regulatory matter, and no program replaces education a Board has specifically required. What a well-chosen program offers is structured learning that is clearly connected to a concern, which you can then reflect on and turn into changed practice. Your CPD standard decides what counts towards your hours.

Questions about programs

Are programs cheaper than buying the courses separately?

No. Each program costs exactly the total of its courses. The benefit is the selection and order, not a discount.

Can I change the courses in a program?

Programs have a fixed set of courses, but you can build your own combination on the multi-course page instead.

What is the usual choice once a notification has arrived?

Usually Ahpra Notification Response. If the concern is about one specific area, the matching program plus the insight core can fit better. Take advice from your insurer or lawyer.

Are programs profession-specific?

The programs use shared courses that apply to every profession. Add your profession's two core courses for profession-specific content.

Do I get one certificate or several?

One certificate of completion for each course in the program.

Can I buy a program for a colleague or team?

Yes. Contact us before ordering for other people so the enrolments are set up correctly.

Do programs count towards CPD?

The individual courses can, if relevant to your practice and recorded properly under your Board's standard.

Can a Board-required education condition be met with a program?

Only if the condition allows it. Some require a specific course or prior agreement. Check the wording before you enrol.

Not sure which program fits?

The course advisor asks a few questions and suggests where to start.
