What a Notification Is, What Happens Next and Your First Steps
A short, free introduction for practitioners who want to understand Ahpra notifications without wading through pages of process. It takes about a quarter of an hour and covers the basics, what normally happens next and the first things to do.
This mini course has three short sections. The first explains notifications in plain terms and who decides them. The second describes the usual stages and puts outcomes in perspective using published data.
The third covers your first steps: the first 48 hours, getting advice, responding well and looking after yourself. A short five-question check at the end confirms the key points.
Create a free Probity Courses account and the course is added to My Courses straight away; no payment details are needed.
Work through 3 sections and 6 short lessons in order, at your own pace. Your place is saved in the browser you use, so you can stop and come back.
Use the key points, scenarios and reflection prompts in each section, and write your own notes as you go; they stay with your course pack.
Finish with a 5-question final assessment. You need 4 correct answers (80%) to pass, and you can retake it after a short pause if needed.
Write your reflective account, submit the short feedback form and your completion is recorded. Download a certificate of completion stating the estimated learning time (about 15 minutes); record the time you actually spend.
