FAQ

CPD Course FAQs: Learning Time, Certificates and Regulators

Courses, certificates, access and fitness to practise: the questions we are asked most.

How long does each course take?

Each course page shows its estimated learning time, from 2 to 5 hours, and your certificate of completion states the same estimate. Record the time you actually spend; how you log it depends on your regulator's scheme, for example Medical Council PCS categories or CORU credits.

Can these courses help if I am facing a complaint or fitness to practise inquiry?

Many professionals use focused learning and a written reflection as part of the evidence of insight and remediation they put forward. Our courses are designed for that. We cannot predict or guarantee any outcome, so keep your indemnity provider, union or solicitor involved.

Which professions are the courses for?

Doctors, nurses and midwives, pharmacists, dentists, CORU-registered health and social care professionals, and PHECC-registered EMTs, paramedics and advanced paramedics. Each course page lists exactly who it is written for.

How do I access a course after buying it?

Log in and go to My Courses. Every course you have bought is listed there. Open it and press Start or Continue. You can stop and come back whenever you like.

Is there an assessment?

Yes. Lessons unlock in order, and each course ends with scenario-based questions with an 80% pass mark. Your certificate is only issued when you pass, so it reflects learning you have actually done.

What does the certificate show?

Your full name, the course title, the estimated learning time and the completion date. It downloads as a PDF once, so save it straight away; contact support if you need another copy.
